DiddyBorg load carrying capacity

Hi

Do you have a rough estimate of the amount of additional weight that can be added to the DiddyBorg platform, assuming that I don't want to run the motors above their rated voltage or current? I'm wondering in particular whether it could carry a modest sealed lead-acid battery or something of that nature.

Best wishes
Kevin

We tested him with a few books laying around the office:

As you can see he moves around at normal speeds running at standard voltage and current with a 4.5 Kg load.
He should be able to take more weight than this, but we have not actually checked ourselves.

Someone else on the forum did say they had their son sat on one driving around for a bit, he was 35 lb.
I do not know if this was taxing the motors or not, but it does suggest that DiddyBorg can carry a fair bit.

I think there will probably be a good selection of motorcyle batteries under 4.5 Kg.

Thanks.
